The workshop is aimed at beginners in planning, end operators, installers, clerks and purchasers — i.e. anyone who would like to get a comprehensive overview of modern video switching and PoE. In this workshop, you will learn about the powerful functionality of BAROX switches and receive many practical tips for planning video systems with PoE products.

The basic course covers topics such as introduction to switching and routing, configuration of RY switches, fault diagnosis, switch control, fail-over protocols, multicast, Power over Ethernet (PoE), the barox DMS device management system and VLAN.

The advanced course deepens this content and covers Advanced VLAN, Cyber Security, Encrypted Browser Communication, User and Port Security, LACP Link Aggregation Control Protocol, DHCP Server, ARP — Address Resolution Protocol, IP Source Guard, Network Design and Private VLAN. Participation in the advanced course requires completion of the basic course.

The number of participants is at maximum 12 People limited.

The participation costs for one course are 320.00€/320.00 CHF per person (plus VAT), and for both courses 560.00€/560.00 CHF per person (plus VAT). Each participant of the basic course receives a Switch RY-GSP17-10.

The invoice for the participation fee will be issued 30 days before the start of the event. If you are unable to attend the event days, please cancel in good time. Participation becomes binding upon invoicing and the participation fee can then no longer be refunded.
